One per cent of the world's popluation stutter, yet there is often little done to assist people who suffer from stuttering. People who stutter face the challenge of trying to navigate life without the use of fluent speech. This impacts their lives negatively on many levels but particularly in employment and can destroy self esteem. I wish to raise the level of awareness of the difficulities that people who stutter face every time they open their mouths to speak. I wish to talk about what can be done to assist and support people who stutter , how to raise awareness of stuttering in organisations and what can be done to support children who stutter in the education system.
